About Us

Our Story

Workwife was built from lived experience, not theory.

I grew up in a home service business. My dad was an HVAC technician who became a business owner, and my mom ran the office. My first job was running ductwork on a new build for a dollar an hour. From the beginning, I saw both sides of the business, the technical work and the operational work that made everything possible.

As an adult, entrepreneurship came naturally. I built and ran multiple businesses over the years. In 2017, I returned to HVAC and launched my own company.

What happened next looked like success from the outside.

We grew from working at the kitchen table to over $5 million in revenue in just six years. But behind the growth were problems I wasn’t prepared for. Every stage of growth required an entirely new skill set. Every decision carried more weight. And every area of the business (systems, people, reporting, follow-up) somehow landed back on me.

I hired coaches. I sought mentors. I invested in programs. The advice was good. The ideas were solid. But I didn’t have the capacity to implement any of it.

The result wasn’t progress, it was pressure.

I hated my job. I was overwhelmed every day. I seriously considered walking away from the business I had worked so hard to build.

It wasn’t until years later, after we had a real management team in place and I could finally delegate, that something shifted. With breathing room, I realized I actually loved building a business. I loved creating structure, developing leaders, and seeing how the right systems could change not just the company, but the lives of the people working inside it.

I almost lost the thing I loved most because the backend couldn’t support the growth.

When the company sold in 2023, I knew exactly what I wanted to do next.

I didn’t want to coach. I didn’t want to advise. I didn’t want to hand business owners more ideas they didn’t have time to implement. I wanted to build a company that stepped in and did the work.

That’s why Workwife exists.

We repair, maintain, and support the backend operations of growing home service businesses. We work directly inside systems, fix what’s broken, build what’s missing, and stay involved so improvements hold.

In just three years, we’ve supported over 100 companies and continue to grow every month. Today, Workwife serves businesses nationwide, bringing the systems, structure, and operational discipline I learned to owners who are struggling to keep their heads above water.

This company was built by someone who’s been there and designed to make sure you don’t have to go through it alone.

The Workwives

The Workwives are the operational backbone of the company. They handle the day-to-day work that pulls owners and managers out of their roles and into the weeds. This includes customer communication, phone coverage, collections, outbound appointment setting, bookkeeping support, data entry, and software setup.

Each Workwife brings a varied background in the trades, along with strong system proficiency and customer service experience. They work directly inside client systems to ensure tasks are handled accurately, consistently, and in alignment with established processes.

At Workwife, this team is responsible for execution. They take on the ongoing operational work that keeps businesses moving, reduces interruptions, and ensures systems don’t quietly fall apart as the business grows.
